Thanks for the tips, I'll have to get back to doing practice doodles of various facial parts. The books linked look quite interesting, I'll have a good look at them when I get back from my two-days away from my computer.
On a side note: Sab posted in my thread! *hides*

Argh! *twitches*
I think I draw my details to delicatly. I'm currently trying to do a picture for someone as a bit of pre-mentioned surprise present thingie, but because I'm trying to draw a male and haven't done so before with much success, I'm ending up with an androgynous personite. I've tried to square the jaw a bit, but I just can't get the lips down and I think the eye area is too feminine.
I just needed a rant about that, perhaps in a bit I'll try to scan and post my failure, but I can't really be bothered quite now. I think I'll go check out some models.

Yeah well, drew this for Kusandaa. I think it turned out alright, though I still hate my scanner/printer combo thing. I'd ask what people think, but I'm sure in can predict the responses anyway.
Coloured it in pencil as well, shan't scan that, I don't trust the... thing. Trying my hand at colouring it in Photoshop as well, that's an interesting experience.

Holy...
Wow thanks Lakatz! I had in mind really that there was a butterfyl fluttering by, a Grenthian one of course, but never actuall drew it. I did actually hate having to draw the mouth/lips area. I couldn't get the slight tilt I wanted and it's still the area I like the least. However Kusandaa was happy with it and that's all that really mattered.
